It is a sacred Amazonian plant medicine — a finely ground herbal snuff prepared with great intention, prayer, and respect by Indigenous tribes of the rainforest.

Hapé is not inhaled. It is blown into the nostrils using a pipe — either a kuripe (for self-application) or tepi (when administered by another) — to awaken the energetic pathways, bring the body into stillness, and open the soul to deep remembrance.
